Melissa's Kitchen

Melissa’s Kitchen is a solid find. I had the lamb shish and it really delivered: properly grilled, juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked with care rather than rushed. The portion was generous, the chips crisp, and the fresh salad and warm bread with dips rounded it out nicely. Service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is relaxed without feeling generic. It’s straightforward Turkish food done right—no gimmicks, just quality ingredients and consistent execution. Very good value for the location. I’d happily come back, especially if I’m nearby and want something reliable and satisfying. Recommended.

I ordered the chicken shish along with hummus and chilli sauce, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. The chicken was juicy, the hummus was creamy, and the chilli sauce had just the right spice. Staff service was excellent — friendly, quick, and very helpful. On trips to London I always look forward to visiting this restaurant and takeaway. It is one minute from the National Express Victoria Coach Station. The signage and the back restaurant have undergone a pleasant refurbishment so do not be put off by the front takeaway /grilling area, go in, you will not be disappointed. The kebabs are freshly cooked and authentic. I have often taken a mixed shish with salad takeaway, home to my appreciative partner. Very helpful staff. Good blues music in the background. Very relaxing after the bustle of London.

This is a good kebab place and the food tastes nice, but I have had better kebabs elsewhere for a cheaper price. The portion was decent and the flavors were fine, but the pricing felt a bit on the higher side. I think the cost is mainly because it’s in London, where prices are generally higher. It’s still a decent option if you’re nearby and craving kebab, but not the best value for money compared to other places I’ve tried.

Didn't eat in but the interior of this restaurant looks nice. Ordered a mixed donor which came within 5 minutes. Portion size was just about right not a huge portion but not small either. Both the chicken and lamb donor meats were cooked well, not overly oily. Could have done with a bit more salad and the bread was a bit overdone. Service was OK, guy serving was polite but not overly friendly. Would go back if in the area.

Halal certified, big portion and delicious! We ordered a fish&chips and mix donner meal. The mix donner with rice was the best. A plate would be enough for 2
